Crazes I Remember from My Childhood

For a few short weeks they were the coolest thing ever, a collective obsession shared with every kid you knew which took up every spare minute of your day. But before long every craze had to end, replaced by the next big thing.

Here are some of the passing fads that I remember from my childhood:
  • Roller Skating
  • Hopscotch
  • Elastics (also known as Chinese Jump Rope)
  • Knuckle Bones
  • Chatter Rings
  • Roller Blading
What crazes swept through your life when you were growing up?

I was at the train station not so long ago and two younger girls were playing with chatter rings. I'm sitting there thinking "Holy Hell this is annoying"... then "Awwww... I guess that makes me old now."

Also loved slap bands and elastics and making nests from the mown grass on the school field - that was so hawt for summer :D
